Our last event took place on Sunday 21st July 2024. MPLA organised a Veteran Mauritian Tournament in North London at Jubilee Park. Thanks you to our members and sponsors: Mauritius Food Online, RnR, Goldwing, Vivant and BHP Golf Club, this was a great success involving 4 football teams, MPLA FC, Scout Club, Port Louis FC and Royal Sporting. The event took place on a lovely sunny Sunday from 9am until 4pm. Royal Sporting came out as the winner of the tournament with Port Louis FC as runner-up.

Here is the feedback from the managers of each team

He told me that he was very pleased with the organisation and hope to have more of the same in the near future.  I hope more teams will be competing and maybe at least twice a year. The event was well organised giving us the feeling like we were in Mauritius. He was also thankful to the organisers mainly MPLA and all the sponsors like Mauritius Food Online and RnR lounge.  He also like the idea of having a strong Mauritian community such as MPLA to regroup all the young Mauritians of today, some of them are so far away from home.

It’s been a beautiful day so far and the competition is running smoothly. Very good organisation for the family and the kids are having fun. We hope to grow from there on.  It’s nice to have our own competition in North London as 80% of the Mauritian players come from North London

Very well organised socially, camarad Kilan and his team. A good family tournament.  Youssouf advice to us was to keep it up and keep growing.
